Barney Barn Owl Box By SJH Designs - A brand NEW design, following the design spec of The Barn Owl Trust, the difference here is ours is made from Larch, a red wood with a much longer life.
Often barn owl boxes are made from ply a sheet material where all the layers are glued together, over time and under the duress from the changeable, seasonable weather the glued edges come apart and the box has a really short shelf life.
Ours is made from Larch and will provide over 20 years lifespan, Larch is a natural water repellent, our roof is made from durable, sustainable heavy duty felt. The box itself is solid 18mm thick. The larch will hold up to the elements much better.
